Meet Erin
I believe that birth is the most transformative process a person can go through. As your doula I want to help guide you through this messy, intense, beautiful, life changing experience. I want you to feel empowered through your pregnancy and birthing time by helping you keep your autonomy and agency. I am passionate about education that has a focus on science and evidence-based information with a hint of woo-woo because birth is truly magical. I believe that education is an important tool to help inform your intuition so you can make the right choices for your family and situation. My biggest goal in birth is my clients feeling safe, loved, and connected (to themselves, their baby and their partner) during their birthing time.
I will also help support your partner as they navigate this new chapter of life; Leaning into the love and bond you already have for one another. It is my goal that you BOTH feel confident and connected as you begin your parenting journey together. I am an expert in birth. They are an expert in supporting and loving you.
I have experience working with home births, birth centers, hospitals, medicated and unmedicated births, water birth, VBAC, twin deliveries, and caesarean births.
I have been a doula since 2020 and have supported over 200 births.
Before becoming a doula I was a barbell strength coach. I love working with athletes and incorporating movement and exercise into my doula practice.
I live in Oregon City with my 9-year-old son, our HUGE dog (Louie), and a bearded dragon (Draco).
I enjoy the outdoors, reading, and testing new recipes in the kitchen.
I am a powerlifter and highland games athlete. Strength comes in handy when giving hours of hip squeezes during labor!
I will almost always have a coffee when you see me. I LOVE meeting clients at local coffee shops.
One of my all-time favorite things is a lazy fall morning on the couch with a fuzzy blanket, good book, and cup of coffee.
My favorite color is turquoise, favorite animal is tied between an elephant and bear (both excellent mama’s), favorite food is pad thai with chicken and tofu, favorite treat combo is chocolate and peanut butter.
“Erin helped me stay grounded through my birth experience and allowed my husband to just focus on being emotionally present with me, helping us both feel empowered as we brought our daughter into the world.”
